We have the following open positions at Junapr:

  • Communications Specialist (Vermont-based). We are seeking a communications specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of successfully working as a communications coordinator.

In this position, you will work as part of a team to support Junapr clients. This is a highly tactical position working across public relations, including but not limited to media relations and social media.

While agency work changes quickly from day to day, you can expect to perform the following duties:

    Client Support

  • Support positive client relationships with the delivery of high-quality work through comprehensive research, content development, ensuring engagement results, producing meaningful media coverage, and executing marketing initiatives on behalf of our clients.

  • Participate in the development of monthly work plans and results-driven monthly reports for clients.

  • Participate in and contribute to client calls and in-person client meetings. Keep notes from client meetings for the team as appropriate.

  • Draft and distribute client meeting agendas as needed.

  • Ensure media pipelines are complete and up to date.

    Team Support

  • Support your co-workers through consistent communications and prompt attention to the client and internal/team needs.

  • Take an active role in supporting, teaching, and mentoring team coordinators.

  • Implement tactical recommendations to support client strategies as directed.

  • Ensure internal and external deadlines are met and expectations are

    consistently exceeded.

  • Communicate frequently with the team on project progress or status as appropriate.

  • Tactical Implementation

  • Carry out tasks assigned by the client lead and in support of the client’s work plan.

  • Craft compelling content for media pitches, bylines, ghostwritten articles, email and social campaigns, press releases, fact sheets, video scripts, messaging, and more.

  • Create targeted media lists by using PR software provided by the agency, internet research, etc.

  • Pitch local and trade media on behalf of the clients you are working on to achieve earned media placements.

  • Work to build and cultivate relationships with media across industries relevant to the accounts you work on.

  • Draft content for and manage client social media channels using Sprout or similar software.

    Culture

  • Contribute to an environment of people and teams that value collaboration, teamwork, and exceeding client expectations.

  • Be a daily consumer of traditional and non-traditional media, seeking out opportunities to expand your media knowledge and serve client needs

  • Provide mentoring support to coordinators and interns.

  • Continue to look for opportunities to learn new skills that will benefit yourself, your colleagues, and our clients.

  • Celebrate successes!

As with most job descriptions, this is not a comprehensive list of your tasks. Agencies are fast-paced, and you will be asked to work on additional tactics and perform other job-related relevant duties – most job descriptions list this under “and all other duties as assigned.”

    Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience as a communications coordinator or similar full-time position.

  • Strong proficiency in writing with an ability to adapt tone and style to different client industries.

  • A solid understanding of the media - including liking to consume news on a daily basis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A keen eye for detail.

This is a hybrid position, working two days from Junapr’s office in Charlotte, Vermont, and three days remotely (which are sometimes on-site with clients).

Application Deadline: November 1 (see below for how to apply)

Salary range: $50K to $70K per year + benefits.

  • 2024 Spring & Summer Internships (remote or in-person) - this is an academic internship for communication students in their junior or senior year of college/university.

We’re looking for future professional communicators to join our team for a semester. As a Junapr intern, you will gain experience working with a team, writing, researching, understanding how publicists work collaboratively with media, gaining experience with social media marketing, including content creation, and so much more.
